We like it a lot for the apéritif. This wine is very typical from Neuchâtel and people like to share a glass when it is out in January. It is a simple yet very pleasant wine that you can drink also by itself.

The Porret family, established in Cortaillod is making wine for more than 160 years! Today, brother and sister Martin & Sophie are in charge of the wine estate. Both graduated from Changins (winemaking school in Switzerland) they impress by the overall quality of their wines and excellent quality / price ratio. Go there and you'll have the chance to meet the parents for sure and maybe the grandpa !  

Neuchâtel is one of the smallest vineyard in Switzerland. However, this is where you'll find the biggest percentage of organic wines and this is also where overall quality is recognised all over the country (Pinot Noir & Chardonnay leading). This a great area worthing the attention. This comment is obviously very subjective due to the fact that I live there! :).
