It's always the same story. We can't wait to go up and see those beautiful mountains. One slope, two slopes, damn this is good. And then we get hungry. Raclettes, fondues, damn, this is good too! The following weekend, you start asking yourself: "Do we really need to ski? Could we just have fondue instead ?". You're not alone, no worries ;). THE wine for winter time.
Labels are with different colors but the WINE IS THE SAME. We wanted to echo our 90's vintage ski outfit ;).

Pairing

This wine is absoluterly perfect with traditionnal mountains meals (raclette, fondue) and for the apéritif too. Very well-balanced wine, stop looking for winter time wine: tire-fesses is the one!

Producer

Saindrine Caloz took over the estate from his parents (Miège near Sierre in Valais / Wallis) few years ago with the envy to turn it organic. The idea was not to follow or anticipate a trend but to be able to have walks in the vine with her childs. Good choice, her wines are now awarded by local and international press. All the wines shows an excellente quality!

Province

Valais (Wallais) is the biggest wine region in Switzerland by far. It represents 1/3 (almost) of the total vineyard. This is also the most known wine state due to the great diversity and overall quality of the wines. Beyond, Pinot Noir or Syrah, the region is known for those local grapes I'm pretty sure you know. Yes, we're talking about Petite Arvine, Humagne, Cornalin etc... Anyway, a lot to see and to taste!
